Applications

An application belongs to a tenant and has its own environments, roles and subscriptions.

An application is owned by one tenant. Creating it provisions a Development environment, a subscription for the owner, an App Administrator role and a builder assignment, across the identity and metadata services.

An application records whether it uses the platform's runtime screens or a custom front end built on the client SDK. Both use the same entities, queries, access rules and lifecycles.

Other tenants can subscribe to an application. Subscribing copies the owner's access rules and template configuration data into the subscriber's scope; the subscriber reads the owner's definitions unless it has its own.
