Transition validators

A transition can reference a custom validator script. The platform runs it before the status changes; if the validator refuses, or cannot be found, the transition does not happen. Use validators for rules that depend on more than the record's own fields, for example "a ticket cannot be resolved while it has open sub-tasks".
